A baby oil is generally richer and oilier than a lotion or a cream. A lotion is a mixture of water and oil, while a baby oil typically consists of 100% oil. (Note: many brands use Paraffinum Liquidum \u2013 a mineral oil that is not natural.)<\/em><\/p>\n

Because a lotion contains water, it usually absorbs more quickly into the skin. A baby oil remains on the skin a little longer, making it ideal for giving your baby a gentle massage.<\/p>\n
